The Science
How the honeycomb
works for you.
Up to half of your home's heat is lost through windows and doors. Standard blinds do little to address this — but the Duette® honeycomb structure is an entirely different proposition. Each cell traps a layer of still air between the fabric and the glass, creating an insulating barrier that works year-round.
In winter, it reduces the rate at which warm air escapes through the glazing. In summer, it slows the rate at which solar heat enters the room. The result is a more comfortable home and measurably lower energy bills — with the latest A++ rated Architella® fabrics offering the highest level of thermal performance available in a window blind.
The honeycomb cells also absorb sound — reducing echo and reverberation from hard surfaces like glass, stone flooring and concrete walls by up to 60%. Particularly valuable in open-plan spaces and rooms with large areas of glazing.
