My Story

James Albert’s journey began at an early age, working alongside his father, Albert, in the family business. Those early years instilled a strong work ethic and a deep appreciation for craftsmanship.

Over time, James developed a passion for home interiors, particularly bespoke window treatments. These experiences shaped his vision — to combine technical expertise with thoughtful design, creating solutions that enhance both the beauty and functionality of a space.

In 2007, with a strong foundation in the trade, James launched J A Blinds. Built on precision, quality, and exceptional service, the business quickly earned a reputation for delivering beautifully made, tailored window solutions.

Over the years, many customers asked what “J A” stood for. While those close to the business understood the connection to James and his father Albert, it was not always clear to new clients discovering the brand. As the company continued to grow, it felt like the right time to bring that story to the forefront.

Today, the business has evolved into James Albert — a name that reflects the heritage of the company while presenting a clearer identity for the future. While the name has evolved, the foundations remain the same: the same ownership, the same experienced team, and the same commitment to quality, craftsmanship, and personal service.
